Kyon Ki (English: Because ) is a 2005 Indian romantic drama film directed by Priyadarshan starring Salman Khan, Kareena Kapoor, Rimi Sen, Jackie Shroff, Om Puri and Sunil Shetty. Getting cheap laughs out of the plight of the mentally ill is perhaps the lowest form of comedy and sadly the humour in "Kyon Ki" is based mostly upon this.

"Kyon Ki" is a tragi-comic film set in an Indian mental hospital which is ,for the most part, in bad taste. In Kyon Ki, it drags on unendingly. There are too many songs in the movie, and the pace is much too slow. After all, you can always count on Salman's winning streak at the box office to save it.
